Why we only seem to effectively tax the “cattle” of society. That is, those who require taxable goods, those who work enough to be in a taxable bracket yet not enough to “dodge” it and then only make “donations”.
How can we reform the same mistakes of the past, that is, ensuring the largest companies of the world do not pressure nationstates into being their playthings. For those companies to pay adequate tax at the state level. This is an ongoing issue and it stems from competition at the macro.
For without access to larger pools of finance we cannot “compete” at the global stage in regards to innovation. So we allow largemultinationals to “invest” or buy into our economic growth at the state level.
What is the solution.
A global taxation system for the multinationals would be a fantastic start. Instead of “donation” based systems for a companies social credit.
How to execute such a thing, and how long it would take to develop a system that could be effective for nationstates to utilise as funding for solutions in the tangible realm?
The environmental footprint all companies dodge repeatedly and intergenerationally. The persistant baselines of inaccess to wealth and wealth creation that persists intergenerationally.
So it must start at the statelevel, as multinationals need us more than we need them. We survive from healthy ecosystems and connection to one another not from numbers on a screen. Yet we continue to persist in global norms that numbers on a screen hold more importance than the earth itself. From fear of technological advancements that may always be out of our reach due to the systems already in play and tactics unbeknown to us.
So I reiterate, we die when we die.
However we can lose humanism before death in our society which is a worse outcome than what comes naturally to each and every one of us.

Pay the people adequately to educate themselves with certain core units pertains to ethics and the technology happens.
Maybe stop the clock on certain industry and clean up/ consolidate instead of eternally ramping up the machine itself.
