So, digital twining of the stock market may continue to take over the human psyche and from that momentum space is seen as the only solution because there are in fact more resources there to feed the machine. So the stock market society is fuelling that goal.

While oxygen, a resource many people lacked during the covid pandemic depletes further from waterways. Mass fish deaths are now a regulator occurrence across the globe:

When attention is fixated towards easy entertainment and money away from preserving the lifeforce that preserves our harmony.

That is, potable water itself.

Now potable water is more complex than H2O, two hydrogen atoms bonded with an oxygen one.

Hydrochemistry is a wonderfully complex field which I shall not bore you with at this stage my friend.

Just know there is water that humans classify as potable for use and production, then there is water that holds a nutrient balance and biotic complexity to sustain an ecosystem service to humanity.

The many layers of the hydrological cycle itself is a wonder to understand and a burden, for our anthropogenic demand alters it considerably.

The fish deaths, if we focus on that one component indicating how unwell our hydrological cycle is, in Australia are primarily due to low dissolved oxygen levels. Dissolved oxygen (DO) is quite different to the bound oxygen atom, it is free, a gas that aerates the system so to speak.

Stagnation of a system, compounded with an imbalance of chemicals and nutrients from anthropogenic practice leads to hypoxia.

The human body is the same as a water way in that regard.

So how to improve this mess we have found ourselves in when we in fact found ourselves running low on oxygen tanks during covid.

In the engineered waterways of the world, we have used dams, locks and weirs to control and divert natural systems for human use. However, much of this practice was not place based, not with a knowledge of natural seasons of the landscape. The natural extents to the systems health regardless of human demands.

Australia is a country mostly arid to semi arid, as much of the world is becoming and the hydrological cycle is more complex than just the surface flows of the earth. The sub surface flows and how water percolates into the earth is reliant on trees and shrubs and soil health itself, for water must always sit in the earth and it does all the way down to the mantle.

How mineral rich that water must be, yet sacred, as it assists in maintaining tectonic movement which in effect creates a protective field for the whole earth. While the core of the earth slowly undergoes a radioactive decay, the heat released guiding mantle movement which ultimately creates this forcefield that enables us all to have an atmosphere, protects from solar winds as our earth subtly shifts through the universe in its orbit around the sun. The magic of the many accidents that created our known world with oxygen and water present, and how we have lost sight in valuing its rarity.

I digress,

Australian fluvial systems, as I know that more than most are a wonder as is the flora and fauna that evolved here in this ebb and flow of surface water, with only a few notable perennial rivers.

Ephemeral systems and how to safely use them, well with the many stakeholders there are, demanding their rights to said system to sustain order in our civilization is a complex and dire issue my friend. While also protecting the healthy perennial systems we have and not repeating the same mistakes over and over.

The Murray Darling Basin where the numerous fish deaths have occurred, had an approach quite lacking the value of many of the aspects of what contribute to tributary health.

That is, firstly the eradication of many wetlands, land clearing and uncontrolled bore water use which has impacted water storage in the system. Secondly the many pollutants contributing to the system now from agriculture, industrialization and human waste itself. Thirdly, concrete as a main tool in engineering the system. If you look at a material that is impermeable and increases evaporation, it is not conducive to biophilic design for water at the weir level.

Stream flow and habitats once disrupted require a lot of finance to fix.

But that is another story for another day with the knowledge now that water not data is to be maintained. While factoring in all medicine once came from a plant.

And keeping in mind the water usage of datacenters such as Iron Mountains WPA-1 with its own freshwater lake.
