Layers of immunity that exist for health and homeostasis of say the human body, for instance. How the experience of the same virus may impact every human uniquely. Comes back to baseline health and also chemical exposures that impact said health.
The layers of immune system function and balancing acts on the microscale that exist.
For instance. The microbiome of the digestive system, only evident in ones feces, with an excess of opportunistic bacteria, pathogens and parasites “x,y and z”. In combination with a low level of neutrophils, which increases the risks of secondary infection. Furthered by exposure to a virus.
Would see more ramifications to a humans recovery time than say, diverse balanced gut flora, non immune compromised.
As say a waterway with adequate natural drainage, flow zones, catchment zones, diverse enough flora and fauna for filtering on the microscale.
The fact we can see the natural environment as a buffer to the chemical footprint of anthroprogenic industry. Create red zones of natural areas that act as a filter to anthroprogenic footprints. Versus green zones with more pristine elements of the natural environment. How much land would that require, one might ask. To buffer the industry already in existance.
Also how long would the recovery of a green zone take to remediate with exposure to x,y,z pollutant.
How when irreperable damage is done to cyclical modes that is, the self cleaning of nature, there is no return.
And so on.
The levels of cyclical functionality within all layers.
As everything is cyclical on the grand scale of things.
The biogeochemical cycles of the earth to the metagenomics of the body.
When the predominant culture to cure any ill with a product that contains numerous pharmochemical solutions broken into their half lifes as they pass through the body.
As that product is digested as applied as a solution to an inner ill it becomes a weight to the outer. Yet how much of a weight to water treatment facilities versus how much quality of life is improved for an indvidual prescribed is a heavy and varied debate my friend.
It comes back to place and people and culture of what to decide and allow. Yet when the power balances are so distorted that areas cannot determine their autonomy of health actioning without brand power.
Say Nigeria at the minute in a different way.
We have a problem with what ethics to sustain in that space. Of health, health services and determing what is adequate for global provision within the future of our species. As the globe cannot be one system. Yet also must be in a way within that space.
As we can focus on say Monkeypox with a hand lens and microphone yet the many layers of pathogenic and pollutant exposure does not get the same stage.
The diversity of guts and culture have always been our greatest divide but they may in cact now be our union as hominin.
