So, how to be a human today.
The many people who wish to act as judge jury and executioner. The many people who have discussed whether I deserved to be alive after my 16th year of being on this planet.
If you were judge jury and executioner, would I be alive?
When we factor in society as it is today.
When we have children as young as ten killing themselves when facing how disempowered, and disconnected, we seem to be in this regime.
As birth rates slow down and human capital is acquired from other countries to feed the machine itself. As human beings are a key resource to sustain any civilization.
Yet is the civilization itself ethical?
This is the question I come back to, over and over again.
When wealth to cater to the masses is now held by tech. When compassion and empathy is reducing from society. When waterways are being systematically destroyed.
When there are many ways to make a person want death if you do not agree with their existence, and a woman in a lower socio-economic bracket in a wealthy area, goodness there have been so many people who want to take oxygen from me.
When there are many people who do not have access to basic medication, when cultural uniqueness pertaining to governance of the earth is being squashed down.
How a low financial status from birth shall always expose one to trial, again and again.
Is our civilization ethical?
Have we fucking evolved?
Collectively no, in terms of sustainable futures and holistic coexistance.
Collectively yes, in terms of how we find means to control.
The same systems pertaining to human interaction and order seem to fall back on a totalitarian and authoritarian backbone.
However in western society, the many systems overlapping make it less clear to see.
As the environmental footprint of each system pertaining to societal order becomes harder to define and therefore bound to sustainable practice.
Everyone distracted by financial status, trying to feel comfortable in their own skin with the complexities of society growing.
How to move forward?
Well, there are a few options.
When facing another large multinational attacking Queenslands biodiversity in an obscene proposal to pump CO2 into the earth there as a carbon “sink” for its company.
Many companies putting more effort into risk simulating people than practice at the project level.
What comes to mind for you?
We can look at the tensions of potential missiles that can be directed from each country, see the value of submarine tactics, yet do the missiles from submarines even work?
The unofficial data we are not privy to makes the complexities deepen.
There are so many layers to this, so lets play a game.
Where is key medicine produced, which societies are most resilient to hardship, which societies require transboundary relations for resources to sustain human life, which countries are planning infrastructure expansions within geographic extends to expand their needs and norms, oh the list continues.
And what company has its finger in all the pies to survive regardless of global cultural tensions…
