Frick’n Freud

2–3 minutes

Ah how our physical vessel develops sensory awareness and how a man called Freud created psychosexual development theory. Oh the layers of Freud that once unpacked can disturb the soul unless at an age ready to reflect and digest the learnings. That is maturity, maybe some consensual sexual conduct under your belt and insight to what your kinks are and the age you may revert to when seeking pleasure. Also the dynamics of your relationships with either your inner mother or inner father, that you projected onto an external figurehead during the vulnerability of pre pubescent youth.

Ah where to start, the stages, the psychosexual stages.

Oral, anal, phallic, latent, and genital.

How one seeks bodily pleasure that is then sullied after the hormones of puberty influence desire.

Oral, when we are fascinated by the sense of the mouth our first tool in this world. From when we are born to 2 years apparently.

Anal, when we start to produce feces, 15months to 3years we are fixated with this new tool of the body.

Phallic, wow I have either an extension or inversion on my physical vessel that is different to others. I can touch it! Ages 3-6. The phallic stage of our life and the Oedipus and Electra complexes, as we identify the difference of our figurehead of an opposite sex!

Latent stage, where bodily pleasure seeking is no longer new, we store the energy, from the ages 6 until ~12 pre pubescence varies for everyone.

Genitals, when we realize our genitals play a role for procreation. Have power, become scared of the power, or abuse said power. See that pleasure and pain can be created from this place of sacred energy. Also disease! From puberty onwards.

Then the Freudian layers to our drivers

The ID, the ego and the super ego.

The ID, the animal, the unconscious driver to meet basic needs.

The ego, filters the IDs needs. So one can indeed fit into society.

The super ego, the conscious, the alignment with the higher set of morals beyond social conformity.

Freud, a controversial yet pivotal figure that has in fact been misinterpreted many times. When people corrupt analysis of the human condition with perversion.

It is good to understand the ages we fall back to in our bodies when we finally sit with ourselves isn’t it.

Alas, the older we get we find new senses, new pleasures and pains.

Growing pains, when the growing pains are no longer pertaining to the physical vessel, but from the ego, the superego.

That cycle is perpetual, our bodies are not.

330 billion cells a human body can create in one day.

I am feeling so good about my rate of decay.

We die when we die, may all humans find the spark of life before death.

PS. Oral sensation of new food and flavor is somehow not considered by Freud, also the subtle zones of the body we continue to find as we age. However, they remain relevant for further thought on psychosexual theory.

PPS. Also see Martha Bernays, the woman peeling the apple, was as significant as her life partner Freud.
